About The Position

The primary role of a Barback is to effectively support the Bartender and Restaurant Service Team by ensuring adequate supplies are available throughout dinner service. The position plays an important role in maintaining an efficient operation and creating a positive guest experience at Gable and Lobby.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be detail oriented, possess strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to multitask.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, holiday and nights.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer service in an efficient and professional manner.
Maintain knowledge of all beverage menus, specials, and ingredients.
Maintain proper levels of all tools, equipment, ice, glassware, beverages, garnishes, and other necessary supplies.
Assist Bartenders and the Restaurant Service Team with stocking, preparation, and replenishment throughout service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, restaurant, and service areas.
Ensure all beverage products, bar equipment, glassware, and supplies are properly stored and readily available.
Conduct oneself in a professional and courteous manner, recognizing that all actions and communications are within guest view.
Provide guests with general information regarding Gable, Lobby, the hotel, and the surrounding local area, as appropriate.
Complete assigned duties and side work within each shift.
Maintain appearance, grooming, and uniform standards.
Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with all co-workers and supervisors.
Handle guest requests and service concerns promptly and professionally, and communicate issues to the appropriate manager or supervisor.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Assist the restaurant team in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment throughout dinner service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
