About The Position

The Barback is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down their assigned bar locations. They will anticipate the needs of Bartenders so that they can continue to serve snacks and beverages to guests in a timely and responsible manner. The Barback will always promote a positive guest/client experience and superior customer service.

Requirements

  • Prior barback experience.
  • Ability to work rapidly and remain calm during peak periods.
  • General physical requirements such as lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods, walking long distances, bending and constant motion is often required.
  • May be exposed to theatrical smoke, strobe lights, pyrotechnics, intense sound, rapid motion video effects, smoke, and odors.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment.
  • Alcohol Certification Card
  • Food Handler Safety Training Card
  • LVMPD – Non-Gaming Work Card

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Sphere Food & Beverage department to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Providing fast, professional, and courteous service to all bartenders.
  • Assisting supervisors and carrying product up and down the stairs from the warehouse to the bar locations in a smooth, efficient, and pleasant manner.
  • Knowing all bar positions and where all products are housed and being ready to transport any/all product at any time when asked to do so.
  • Breaking down machinery including, but not limited to popcorn machines, drink machines, and coolers.
  • Setting up stock and maintaining bar areas including breakdown and cleanup of the bar and bar area.
  • Ensuring liquor, garnish, glasses, product, etc. are properly stored and presented; delivering and distributing ice accordingly.
  • Helping maintain the warehouse area according to Sphere standards by following Southern Nevada Department of Health Code.
  • Providing exceptional experiences for guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.
  • Providing information to patrons and answering questions/inquiries regarding Sphere facility.
