About The Position

The Barback works closely with bartenders to ensure they have what they need to serve customers efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The role is responsible for keeping the bar clean, stocked, and running smoothly. This is a seasonal position at Killington Resort in Killington, Vermont. The hourly wage is $17.00–$17.85, adjusted based on experience. Seasonal employees are eligible for a season pass for themselves and dependents, privileges at several other resorts, and discount programs for food and beverage, retail and rental, tickets, and other offerings.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume atmosphere.
• Must be extremely organized.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in a bar or restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders with bar setup and breakdown.
• Refill ice wells.
• Switch out kegs.
• Keep the bar stocked with liquor, wine, beer, garnishes, and other supplies.
• Anticipate bartenders’ needs and restock items before they run out.
• Ensure glassware and bartending tools are clean and in the proper place.
• Maintain cleanliness by taking out trash, mopping spills, and wiping down surfaces.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
