About The Position
This role is responsible for assisting bartenders and cocktail servers in providing satisfactory beverage service by maintaining supplies of garnish, glassware, ice, and liquor at assigned workstations. The Barback reports to the Beverage Shift Manager.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- ABLE Certification
- Read, write and understand simple instructions.
- Basic math knowledge is required to perform this job.
Nice To Haves
- Previous bar or restaurant experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Check with and assist Bartender in maintaining supplies i.e. straws, stir sticks, napkins, and matches for workstation.
- Rotate stock, wash and stock glassware, maintain stock of fruit fill and replace.
- Fill ice bins, empty garbage, replace trash liners, wipe and pick up surfaces as time allows, check kegs, replace dirty bar mats, sweep floors, clean screens in glass washer, wipe down bottles, clean spouts, clean beer drains, gun drains, counter drains and ice bins.
- Cut slice and peel perishable garnishes and fruits.
- Scoop ice from bins, transport to service areas and replenish ice containers.
- Box and save empty liquor bottles as they accumulate for later returns and requisitions.
- Transport taps, replace and perform routine maintenance requirements on heavy beer kegs.
- Check station before, after and during shift to ensure proper setup and cleanliness are maintained.
- Comply with all Oklahoma Liquor Laws and the Choctaw Nation Alcoholic Beverage Ordinances.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
