About The Position

The Bar Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area, stocking supplies, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves direct interaction with customers and requires adherence to company policies and procedures, including the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy. Team members are expected to participate in all mandatory meetings and pre-shift sessions. The position requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, respond to visual and aural cues, and maintain a professional appearance. Flexibility in work schedule, including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime, is necessary. The Bar Porter also performs other assigned duties.

• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and complies with all state, federal and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule including holidays, nights and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required.
• Minimum of one-year customer service experience in a previous position, where the primary job duty is direct customer service is preferred.
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
• Must be able to communicate with guests to meet their immediate needs.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Responsibilities

• Cleans the bar area, including mats, floors, sinks, drains, and other bar appliances.
• Changes soda bibs and stocks all beverage supplies in the designated area.
• Keeps areas clean, sanitary, and free of debris.
• Acknowledges, greets, and converses in English with customers who approach the bar.
• Stocks bar and self-service stations as needed.
• Calls a designated slot employee when needed by a guest or bartender.
• Provides a safe work environment for employees and guests.
• Follows the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy, which includes greeting guests and team members within specific distances and maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Participates in all mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and manually push 300 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, pull, and carry stock to refrigerators and cabinets.
• Ability to work in a smoke-filled environment.
• Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
• Ability to stand for long hours.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Must be able to work inside and continuously maneuver around office areas and throughout the casino property.
• Must be able to work in areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
