About The Position

The Bar and Marketing Manager for Mashup Food Hall is responsible for ensuring the bar and its employees provide high-quality drinks and service. This position requires an understanding of the food vendors housed in Mash Up to also help guests be aware of and choose menu items, takes orders and makes guests feel taken care of during their visit/experience. The Bar and Marketing Manager is responsible for the front of house team who is friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and works in a professional manner resulting in a very high level of guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hospitality management, food hall operations, bar management, or multi-unit restaurant leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of beverage operations, cost controls, and inventory management
  • Experience with reporting, invoicing, collections, and operational financial oversight
  • Proven ability to lead teams and maintain strong guest experience standards in high-volume environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience overseeing vendor relationships or multi-concept hospitality environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site operational leader during peak service hours
  • Welcomes guests, reads and listens to people to determine beverage preference, makes recommendations and takes drink orders.
  • Demonstrates genuine hospitality during every interaction with our guests; including greeting guests, taking food and beverage orders, answering questions, thanking guests, and inviting them to return upon their departure.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and public-facing events (food festivals, chef collabs, live music, etc.)
  • Develop and post all social media content.
  • Maintain a seasonal event calendar and lead execution; serve as the lead during major activations.
  • Abides by all State and Federal Liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Develop, cost, and maintain rotating cocktail, beer, wine, and N/A menus that complement vendor offerings
  • Manage relationships with liquor distributors, breweries, and beverage partners
  • Monitor beverage COGS, pricing, inventory, and bar profitability
  • Oversee POS accuracy, cash flow, and reporting via Toast
  • Lead bar prep, stocking, cleaning, and service systems
  • Train and supervise bartenders, runners, and bar leads to uphold service standards and efficiency
  • Adheres to all food safety and quality regulations.
  • Leads pre-shift meetings to review/communicate information regarding service, specials.
  • Handles cash and credit card transactions.
  • Maintains a clean working environment, cleans bar, tables, washes glasses and equipment.
  • Records drink order accurately into POS system.
  • Implement systems and procedures that set the business and team up for success.
  • Manage Inventories of Food & Beverage department in a profitable manner.
  • Leads in the preparation of the following before and during service; fruit, syrups, garnishes, glassware, bar equipment, and all other preparation tasks instructed by the General Manager.
  • Upsells drink and various food items at the bar.
  • Responds promptly to guest requests in a polite and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly appearance of the restaurant + bar service area.
  • Answers guest questions about food and beverage preparation details and communicates specific guest needs to the kitchen and bar.
  • Performs basic cleaning tasks as needed ensuring spaces, restrooms and guest areas are clean, stocked and guest-ready.
  • Other duties as assigned.
