About The Position

The Adolphus hotel is seeking a Bar Back for its iconic Rodeo Bar. The Rodeo Bar, first opened in 1981, is reopening with a new menu, new vibe, and a back room for private gatherings, while honoring the original concept of "Texas grit and authenticity." The Bar Back is described as the "silent hero" who ensures that behind every drink served, there is attention to detail, including spotless glasses, fresh ingredients, and readily available bottles. This role involves efficiently stocking, cleaning, and organizing the bar, and working seamlessly with bartenders.

Requirements

Prior experience highly preferred.
A proactive and detailed demeanor.

Responsibilities

Monitor critical elements: ice, juice, syrups/mixers, spirits, glassware, and bar top cleanliness.
Anticipate and stock items during the shift before they run out.
Understand bar equipment and troubleshoot issues such as low CO2 in tap lines, dishwasher cycling, and changing beer keys.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar top where guests are seated, the bar back area (spirits, glassware, supplies), waste bins, and floors.
Possess thorough knowledge of the menu and beverage offerings, along with supporting knowledge of brand vision and quality standards.
