This position involves completing opening and closing duties, which include setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, and locking doors. The Bar Attendant will check with the captain or supervisor before leaving at the end of their shift. Responsibilities include setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas, stocking ice, glassware, and paper supplies, and removing soiled wares from the bar top and tables. Maintaining the cleanliness and condition of work areas, the bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools according to set-up guidelines is also a key part of the role. The Bar Attendant must follow all company and safety/security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and complete safety training and certifications. Ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets are required. The role also includes welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guest service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others and supporting the team to reach common goals are essential. Adherence to quality expectations and standards is necessary. The role requires reading and visually verifying information in various formats, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination is necessary. The Bar Attendant must be able to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and up and down stairs or service ramps. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, is also part of the job. Other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors may be assigned.
