This position involves preparing coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in the Banquet Event Order. The server will prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts, and cordial carts. Key responsibilities include communicating additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen, ensuring courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed, and responding to and fulfilling special banquet event arrangements. The role also requires replenishing buffet items for consistency and freshness, monitoring tableware for presentability, and maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Additionally, the server will bus tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware. The position also requires adherence to all company and safety/security policies and procedures, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, and completing safety training. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and welcoming guests according to company standards are also essential. The server will anticipate and address guest needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional, with a focus on supporting team goals and meeting quality standards. The role requires the ability to read and visually verify information, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and perform various physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and over 75 pounds with assistance. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to navigate uneven surfaces and stairs are also necessary. The server may also be asked to perform other reasonable job duties.
