The Banquets Server is responsible for preparing coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in the Banquet Event Order. This role involves preparing tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts, and cordial carts. The server must communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Key duties include ensuring courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed, responding to and fulfilling special banquet event arrangements, and replenishing buffet items for consistency and freshness. The server will monitor tableware for presentability, and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Additionally, they will bus tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware. The role also requires adherence to all company and safety policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, completing safety training, and maintaining a clean and professional appearance. Confidentiality of proprietary information and protection of company assets are essential. The server must welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional, with a focus on supporting team goals and meeting quality standards. The position requires the ability to read and visually verify information, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and lift/move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and over 75 pounds with assistance. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to navigate various surfaces and stairs are also necessary. Other reasonable job duties may be requested.
