The Banquets Server is responsible for preparing coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in the Banquet Event Order. This role involves preparing tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts, and cordial carts. The server will communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Key duties include ensuring courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed, responding to and fulfilling special banquet event arrangements, and replenishing buffet items for consistency and freshness. The server will monitor tableware for presentability, maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas, and bus tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware. Additionally, the server must follow all company and safety/security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training. A professional appearance, maintaining confidentiality, and protecting company assets are essential. The role requires welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guest needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests with appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional, with a focus on supporting team goals and adhering to quality standards. The position involves reading and visually verifying information, standing/sitting/walking for extended periods, and performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and over 75 pounds with assistance. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to move over various surfaces and stairs are necessary. The server must also reach overhead, below the knees, and perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
