About The Position

Snowbird is seeking a Banquet Server for on-call, seasonal work. This role involves serving food and beverages to guests according to Banquet Event Orders for various events such as continental breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and receptions. The position also includes setting up and breaking down event spaces, cleaning facilities, and collaborating with other food and beverage operations and the resort sales team. The schedule varies and may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, with potential for irregular hours and last-minute changes due to guest requests.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-6 months of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Food safety, wine service, alcohol service knowledge.
• Utah Food Handlers Permit and alcohol service certifications required.
• Ability to apply basic math skills when setting up a room and cashier skills.
• Ability to handle, process, maintain, and protect guest personal information, including credit card information, in compliance with all company or department policies and procedures according to PCI rules and requirements.
• Understanding of PCI DSS, including the safe and secure handling and maintenance of personal, financial, and credit card information of guests/customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverage to guests according to the Banquet Event Orders.
• Set up and tear down of events according to Banquet Event Orders.
• Serve alcoholic beverages while monitoring guest consumption.
• Arrange tables, chairs, water services, etc., for meetings, meal functions, and special events.
• Report to work on time and in proper uniform.
• Monitor assets of Snowbird by proper breakdown of events, putting away unused requisitions, and taking dirty equipment and linen to proper locations.
• Know proper food items and their temperatures for each event by reading Banquet Event Orders and consulting with the Captain.
• Complete assigned side work.
