About The Position

Responsible for executing the preparation, setup, and teardown of banquet areas/meeting spaces, moving furniture and stage platforms, lifting heavy objects such as chairs, tables, and dance floor sections and pushing/pulling carts and all other duties as determined by the Director of Catering and banquets. The Banquet Porter interacts with guest and maintains the cleanliness of work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards & fire codes from the City of Nevada.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English, both in written and oral form
• Ability to work consistently with tables and chairs
• Ability to communicate with other and within a team environment
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced and stressful environment with prolonged walking/standing
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. at a time
• Ability to push/pull up to 400 lbs. at a time
• Ability to handle heavy machinery such as pallet jacks, tuggers, fork lifts, etc.
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Availability to be on-call /standby for shift availability
• Valid Clark County Health card
• At least 21 years of age
