About The Position

This is a part-time, on-call position responsible for setting up and breaking down banquet rooms according to event specifications. The role involves ensuring rooms are fully prepared before guests arrive, assisting with various types of events, and supporting the overall banquet operation through teamwork and flexibility. The position also requires collaboration with banquet staff and other hotel departments to ensure the success of events.

Requirements

Ability to read and understand banquet setup diagrams and BEOs.
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Set banquet rooms according to event specifications, diagrams, and BEOs.
Set tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, silverware, and other required equipment.
Ensure meeting and event spaces are fully prepared before guests arrive.
Complete setups accurately and within established timelines.
Inspect rooms prior to guest arrival to ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper placement.
Assist with specialty setups, themed events, receptions, weddings, and other functions.
Break down banquet rooms following the completion of events.
Reset rooms quickly and accurately for the next function.
Move tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, risers, and other banquet equipment as needed.
Maintain clean and organized storage areas for banquet equipment.
Remove trash, debris, and used event materials from function spaces.
Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting banquet equipment throughout the property.
Report damaged or missing equipment to leadership.
Assist banquet servers and leadership with event-related needs throughout service.
Respond quickly to changes in room setup or guest requirements.
Provide support during high-volume events and multiple functions.
Assist with outdoor events, pool events, receptions, and special activations when needed.
Maintain awareness of event timelines and upcoming room turns.
Ensure all event spaces remain presentable throughout the function.
Work closely with Banquet Managers, Captains, Servers, and other hotel departments.
Communicate clearly and consistently with team members and leadership.
Follow BEOs, setup diagrams, and direction from banquet leadership.
Support the overall success of the banquet operation through teamwork and flexibility.
Maintain a positive, professional, and high-energy attitude.
Assist other departments when needed to support hotel operations.
