About The Position
This position involves taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. The role requires prompt and warm guest greetings, efficient order taking following established steps of service, and professional food delivery while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. The server will need to demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens, advising guests on combinations and accommodating reasonable requests. Communication with back-of-the-house staff is crucial for accurate order delivery and special request accommodation. The role also involves collecting tickets, following proper cash-handling procedures, promoting a clean and safe environment, and maintaining confidentiality. Promptly addressing guest complaints and relaying information to supervisors is also a key responsibility. Additionally, the server will ensure the dining room is properly set up and maintained, operate various equipment, and collaborate with other departments for special events and functions.

- Operates a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- Works with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions

- Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients. Advises guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested; accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences. As needed, demonstrates knowledge of specialized diets and allergens.
- Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
- Exhibits exceptional communications skills and demonstrates ability to get along well with others. Remains flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
