About The Position

Carter Creek Winery Resort & Spa, located in Johnson City, Texas, is seeking a Banquet Server to provide food and beverage services to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons. The resort offers a premiere winery, a Restaurant/Brewery, and hosts banquets and special events, operated by the Carter Hospitality Group with 25 years of experience.

Requirements

Minimum of 1+ years of restaurant experience in hospitality or similar environment.
Customer service skills.
TABC Certification (must be obtained/current upon hire and maintained).
Food Handler Certification (must be obtained/current upon hire and maintained).

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a fast-paced, customer service/hospitality industry is preferred.
Able to work flexible schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

Review event orders to become familiar with menu and service procedures.
Complete setup and preparation of function rooms and service areas.
Inspect all equipment before, during, and after functions.
Report any deviations from standards to the Captain/Supervisor.
Inventory materials and supplies at the beginning of the shift.
Prepare coffee, iced/hot tea, and other beverages.
Check all plates for accuracy, completeness, appearance, and presentation before service.
Serve food and beverages to guests, replenishing as needed.
Monitor guests, anticipate needs, respond to requests, and ensure satisfaction.
Monitor guest alcohol consumption to prevent overindulgence and ensure safety.
Clear tables and break down function rooms after banquet service.
Complete assigned end-of-shift duties.
Assist other staff members as needed to ensure optimum service.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
