About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated Banquet Server to join their team at Stonewall Resort. This role involves setting up and preparing banquet rooms, serving and bussing tables, and clearing and tearing down banquet rooms after functions. Requirements

  • Minimum one year in service position within the food service industry.
  • Customer service experience necessary.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Liquor experience preferred.
  • Banquet experience helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and prepare banquet room for banquet functions.
  • Serve and bus tables.
  • Clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the function.
  • Ensure total guest satisfaction in banquet functions through effective communication skills and efficient anticipation of guest requirements.
  • Carry out policies and procedures of Stonewall Resort and Benchmark Management Company.
  • Ensure that liquor laws and liquor rules of the State of West Virginia are strictly adhered to.
  • Ensure the beverage service policies of Stonewall Resort are strictly adhered to.
  • Maintain the highest degree of professionalism.
  • Maintain effective solution-oriented communications within the department and with other departments.
  • Ensure that set-up, service, and breakdown of functions is completed according to the details of the function sheet.
  • Set a function room properly per Stonewall Resort standards.
  • Set a reception area properly per Stonewall Resort standards.
  • Comply with all sanitation standards and health department regulations as outlined in the training manual.
  • Take meal counts on a function, accurately record them, accurately update the counts, and serve the meals to guests in the proper order.
  • Provide proper wine service.
  • Properly remove trays from a function and follow the proper procedure for disposal of these trays.
  • Participate in on-going training process for the position.
  • Maintain proper service standards throughout the function period.
  • Maintain lines of communication with supervisors and guests to ensure that all needs are fulfilled.
  • Attend all meetings as required.
  • Work a varied schedule due to business levels and industry demand (24 hours/7 days a week).
  • Work flexible hours (weekends and extended eight-hour days).
  • Know property layout and direct guests by utilizing daily event sheets, function sheets, or other documents or reference materials.
  • Review and understand daily event sheets and function sheets in order to properly and knowledgeably respond to any guest or coworker requests, questions, or concerns.
  • Maintain uniform and grooming standards as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Assist in the initial and ongoing training of on-call service staff.
  • Assist Banquet supervisors in directing banquet on call servers in opening duties, execution of function and completion of closing duties.
  • Provide assistance in other job classifications as determined necessary by immediate superior.
