About The Position

This position is responsible for setting up banquet rooms, greeting guests, serving food and beverages, and cleaning up after events. The role requires attention to detail, good customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Employees must adhere to hotel policies and regulations, including those related to serving alcohol. The job may require working varying schedules to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic English language skills to understand inquiries and communicate instructions.
• Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions for safe product application.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to transport up to 30 pounds maximum through a crowded room continuously.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment (e.g., coffee maker, rolling carts).

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room with linen, service-ware, and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings to understand event details and guest expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests courteously.
• Serve food and beverages according to instructions and standards.
• Promptly clear dishes after guests complete courses or meals.
• Replenish beverages and check on guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet room according to specifications after the event.
• Perform assigned side work, including restocking supplies.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards.
• Abide by all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations.
