About The Position

Saint Kate is seeking a part-time Banquet Server who will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of the event as well as serving food and beverages to our guests, set-up, upkeep, break down, and cleaning functions. Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel offers a modern, luxury experience with artistic flair and is located in Milwaukee's Theater District. As a part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, we engage a diverse audience of theater enthusiasts, food connoisseurs, and entertainment seekers.

Requirements

• Prior restaurant and/or banquet serving, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times.
• Ability to comprehend English in order to receive instructions from managers and guests.
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests.
• Weekday availability strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests and set up/break down banquet rooms per contract and Manager's instructions.
• Prepare work areas (e.g., coffee and bread stations) before functions.
• Handle guest requests, seeking assistance from Manager/Supervisor when needed.
• Communicate regularly with Manager/Supervisor on work progress.
• Maintain cleanliness in banquet rooms, public areas, and storage.
• Manage inventory of supplies.
• Uphold Marcus' high standards of quality and service.
• Perform other assigned duties as directed by Manager.
