About The Position

The Banquet Server is responsible for the set-up and serving of food and beverages to guests at all banquet functions, according to the resort standards. This role requires adherence to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. The server must actively participate in the team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort. Participation in all resort required meetings and trainings is mandatory. Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag, is essential. The server must be able to read the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function. Effective communication skills, including listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests, are necessary. Adherence to Silverado Resorts cash handling policy and Banquets schedule is required. Maximizing efforts towards productivity, identifying problem areas, and assisting in implementing solutions are key. The role requires initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs, and reporting broken and damaged equipment. Performing preparatory tasks and side work duties ensures prompt and efficient guest service. Setting all tables according to resort standards and maintaining the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with necessary supplies, are crucial. Cleaning up banquet space after functions and properly storing and re-stocking equipment and supplies are also responsibilities. Preparing rooms according to BEO and various meal functions, following all money handling procedures, and knowing menu items with accurate descriptions and potential allergens are required. Abiding by all resort policies and safety rules, and performing other duties as requested by management, are part of the role.

Requirements

  • Responsible Beverage Service Certification (required in compliance with California laws).
  • Food Handlers Certification (required in compliance with California laws).
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
