This role involves preparing coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in the Banquet Event Order. The server will prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts, and cordial carts. Key responsibilities include communicating additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen, ensuring courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed, and responding to and fulfilling special banquet event arrangements. The server will also replenish buffet items for consistency and freshness, monitor tableware for presentability, and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Additionally, the role requires bussing tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware. The position also emphasizes adherence to company and safety policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, completing safety training, maintaining a professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service according to company standards, including assisting individuals with disabilities and thanking guests with appreciation. Communication and teamwork are essential, as is the ability to read and visually verify information. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and over 75 pounds with assistance, manipulating objects with fine motor skills, and navigating uneven or slippery surfaces, stairs, and ramps. The role also involves reaching overhead, below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
