Job Overview Responsible for the setup, execution, and breakdown of events and other special functions. Must have good communication skills, be able to follow directions efficiently, and meet the physical demands of the job. Ability to understand and communicate food and beverage selections, have a team focus mentality, adhere to club’s standards of service, maintain a professional appearance and clean work environment, as well as, display a positive and friendly attitude. Responsible for using Workday to communicate with management about time off requests & working availability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous server or banquet server experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and be coachable.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must speak, read, and write in English proficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge members/guests and meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Have an acute awareness of all table flow and timing throughout one's shift.
  • Foresee and troubleshoot problems before they occur, report to management if you’re not able to solve the problem.
  • Set up for events by putting out and arranging tables, place settings, setting up buffets, and other event equipment.
  • To efficiently serve food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • To follow the service sequence and standards of the club, according to the training manual.
  • To ensure all service stations and/or assigned areas are stocked and maintained with silverware, china, sugar, creamers, tea box, iced tea and coffee, etc. as described in the BEO.
  • To ensure that all silverware, glasses, base plates and china are polished and set according to club standards.
  • Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness.
  • Attends pre-service training (line-up meeting).
  • Adherence to Club’s uniform and grooming policy.
  • Knowledge of, respect for and adherence to all staff privileges and responsibilities.
  • Performs other appropriate duties as assigned by manager on duty.
