About The Position

The Banquet Server supports the Café Manager, Banquet Coordinator, and Nutritional Services team in planning and executing successful meetings, banquets, and events. This role helps ensure rooms, meals, and event spaces are prepared and maintained to meet guest and host needs.

Requirements

  • Obtain Food Handler Certification from an ANSI-accredited program within one month of hire and maintain current certification throughout employment.
  • Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills required.
  • Must be proficient in HealthStream, Kronos, and CHHC Dietary within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, commercial kitchen operations, equipment, and banquet service practices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate room bookings and work with vendors and meeting hosts to support event planning and execution.
  • Set up conference and banquet rooms, including tables, chairs, linens, silverware, and other equipment according to event needs.
  • Assist with meal preparation and service in collaboration with the Sous Chef and Nutritional Services team.
  • Transport food, supplies, and equipment to and from the conference center and assist with event breakdown and cleanup.
  • Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Pay Range: $17.50 - $21.87/hour (based on experience)
  • Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends, and other incentive pay available.
