About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Banquet Lead Server trains associates to perform the standards and procedures for their position and oversees the execution of assigned functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Understands all “Front of House” position responsibilities. Fulfills responsibilities of Server, Horseperson, and Bartender as needed. Possess the following characteristics: enthusiasm, patience, positive mental attitude, good communication and organizational skills, clean appearance, professionalism, leadership skills, and teamwork. Assists with new-hire orientation responsibilities including but not limited to: uniform check-out, initial associate site tours, training outline, and FOH associate handbook training. Provides the trainee with the skills, knowledge and procedures associated with meeting department standards. Creates and monitors banquet setup and side work procedures – ensures all Front of House positions are meeting the designated event timelines/responsibilities. Creates and adjusts banquet floorplans using I-plan software. Executes assigned banquet functions to include staff supervision and meeting planner contact. Completes bar requisitions - ensures initial counts, additional requisitioned inventory, and closing counts are properly recorded. Notifies management of changes and additions as requested by guests for event. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Missouri class E or Arkansas P designated driver's license and a safe driving record is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Applications.
  • The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.
