About The Position

The Banquet Server/Bartender will be responsible for assisting the banquet team in setting up and breaking down bars, tables, and other equipment needed for the assigned event. During events, the Banquet Server/Bartender is responsible for providing hospitable and effective service. The Banquet Server/Bartender will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, or reach.
  • Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform continuous repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting, polishing, and prepping glassware, china, and silverware for upcoming events, setting them up in the banquet room specific to each BEO. If unable to set up a space, collecting and storing items in a nearby location until the necessary room(s) is available.
  • Ensuring server stations are stocked with the items, including back-ups, needed for the assigned event as determined by the Banquet Manager.
  • Keeping the event space clean and organized during events by removing/bussing tables, cleaning up spills, and ensuring trash is not overflowing and is disposed of properly.
  • Providing professional and attentive service to guests of events.
  • Assisting the banquet team in breaking down an event by collecting solid linen and putting it in its proper bin, collecting dirty glassware, china, silverware, etc., and neatly placing it in the dish pit for washing, collecting clean glassware, china, silverware, etc., and neatly returning it to its proper storage locations, breaking down tables and chairs and returning them to their proper locations and keeping them organized, collecting all trash and disposing of it in its proper location, and ensuring the event space is cleaner than when the event started.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of specific areas including Main Clubhouse Downstairs Storage, Main Clubhouse Housekeeping, Main Clubhouse Upstairs Pantry, Main and South Clubhouse Coat Rooms, South Clubhouse Roof Access, and any other locations as specified by the Banquet Manager.
  • Assisting the Banquet Managers in maintaining a monthly inventory of all banquet supplies including but not limited to: glassware, china, silverware, chairs, linens, and décor items.
  • Maintaining and rotating all non-alcoholic products, including but not limited to Coca Cola bottles, juices, etc.
