About The Position

As a Banquet Server / Bartender at the Renaissance Baronette Hotel in Novi, Michigan, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service during events, including receptions, meetings, trainings, and social gatherings. Your ability to create a welcoming atmosphere, craft quality beverages, and respond to guest needs ensures memorable experiences that drive the success of our venue.

Requirements

Previous bartending service experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of common cocktails, beverage service standards, and responsible alcohol service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as needed.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
Greet guests warmly and ensure all service needs are met throughout the event.
Communicate effectively with guests, answering menu and beverage-related questions.
Take beverage orders and prepare cocktails accurately and efficiently.
Understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure all liquor, beer, and wine inventory is accurately counted at the end of each event.
Anticipate guest needs and monitor overall satisfaction with service.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
Assist with event setup, bar execution, breakdown, and cleaning.
Perform side work to prepare for upcoming events.
