Meet with clients to plan events. Establishes and maintains positive, professional relationships with clients through effective, timely and reliable communication. Coordinates with restaurant manager to schedule, coordinate, and provide performance feedback to banquet team Prepare proposals, contracts, and event orders. Follows up to secure commitments and deposits. Provides information to operating departments in a timely manner. Monitors and ensures client’s overall satisfaction throughout planning and execution of event. Enhances sales efforts by servicing corporate day only events, holiday events, social & wedding events, encouraging repeat business, and upselling. Develops and maintains favorable working relationships and open communication with all departments. Maintain clear and up-to-date records, event calendars, and sales reports. Adheres to budgets and profitability targets for banquet sales. The Nitty Gritty Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university. Minimum 3 years experience in banquet leadership or sales and event management preferably in a hospitality setting. Strong sales, negotiation, customers service skills. The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. The ability to solve practical problems. Must possess strong negotiation skills and strong customer relations skills. Strong computer skills: Full knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Outlook, Excel and Word.
