If so, The Pfister Hotel is seeking a Banquet Manager to support banquet operations and uphold our iconic Four Diamond service standards. As the Banquet Manager, you will be a key member of the Food & Beverage leadership team, assisting the Director of Banquets in overseeing daily banquet operations. This role is responsible for training, supervising, and leading the banquet team while ensuring flawless execution of events, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. You will play an integral role in driving repeat business, profitability, and service excellence. Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel is a Milwaukee icon known for gracious service and impeccable style. As a AAA Four Diamond hotel for more than four decades, The Pfister is recognized as one of the premier event destinations in the Midwest.

Requirements

  • Prior banquet or event management experience required
  • High school diploma or GED required; four-year degree in Hospitality or related field preferred
  • Previous experience working in a union environment preferred
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Banquets with the daily leadership and oversight of banquet operations
  • Lead, train, and supervise banquet associates to ensure consistent service standards
  • Ensure the highest quality of food, beverage, and service delivery for all banquet events
  • Coordinate banquet service needs with culinary and stewarding teams
  • Maintain effective communication between Banquets, Culinary, Sales, Events, and Operations
  • Ensure events are executed according to BEOs, timelines, and guest expectations
  • Support compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and applicable union contract guidelines
  • Maintain accurate banquet records, including banquet checks and event documentation
  • Ensure adequate inventory of banquet service equipment and supplies
  • Monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and sanitation standards within banquet spaces
  • Conduct departmental meetings and attend F&B, BEO, Safety, and Department Head meetings
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll oversight, and labor management
  • Address guest concerns and service recovery situations professionally and promptly
  • Represent The Pfister Hotel with professionalism and leadership presence
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
