About The Position

Hotel Phoenix, located in the heart of Centennial Yards, is seeking a dynamic and service-driven Banquet Manager to lead and execute exceptional banquet and event experiences. As part of Atlanta’s evolving entertainment district, this role is instrumental in delivering high-impact events that reflect our commitment to modern luxury and elevated Southern hospitality. The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing all banquet operations, ensuring flawless execution, strong team leadership, and an exceptional guest experience from start to finish.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of banquet or food & beverage leadership experience in an upscale or luxury hotel environment
  • Strong understanding of banquet operations, event execution, and service standards
  • Proven leadership capability with strong interpersonal and team development skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hotel systems such as Delphi, POS systems, and labor management tools preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of all banquet functions including corporate meetings, social events, weddings, and special activations within Centennial Yards
  • Ensure all events are executed in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and Hotel Phoenix service standards
  • Conduct daily pre-shift and pre-function meetings to align teams on service expectations and event details
  • Oversee room setup, service flow, and breakdown to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Anticipate operational challenges and proactively implement solutions during events
  • Supervise and develop Banquet Captains, Servers, Bartenders, and Housepersons
  • Drive accountability and uphold service excellence across all banquet operations
  • Partner with Human Resources and F&B leadership on hiring, training, and performance management
  • Ensure proper staffing levels in alignment with business demands and labor standards
  • Act as the on-site host and primary point of contact during events
  • Build strong relationships with clients and ensure all expectations are met or exceeded
  • Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, urgency, and discretion
  • Deliver a polished, luxury-level experience reflective of Hotel Phoenix standards
  • Manage labor costs, scheduling, and productivity in alignment with budget expectations
  • Review payroll, timekeeping, and staffing through systems such as Unifocus and ADP
  • Ensure accurate billing, including banquet checks and event reconciliation
  • Support forecasting and operational planning for banquet revenue and expenses
  • Ensure adherence to all Hotel Phoenix policies, SOPs, and brand standards
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
  • Oversee proper use, care, and inventory of banquet equipment and supplies
