About The Position

Join the hospitality team at Buffalo Marriott HARBORCENTER as a Banquet Houseperson. This position supports the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of banquet events while helping ensure a clean, welcoming environment that meets hotel and guest standards. The role is part-time, pays $16.50 per hour, and is performed in person. A flexible schedule is required, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as needed to meet business operations.

Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow proper sanitation procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-first attitude.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a similar role within the hospitality or events industry.
Familiarity with banquet room setups, such as theater, classroom, and U-shape, and with standard equipment.
Knowledge of local attractions and events.

Responsibilities

Set up and break down function rooms and event spaces according to group specifications and hotel standards.
Refresh banquet rooms during events according to schedules and service expectations.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning of banquet equipment and service areas.
Follow safe food and beverage handling practices in accordance with hotel, brand, and company policies.
Collaborate with team members to support seamless event service.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest needs and provide outstanding customer service.
Stay knowledgeable about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to assist guests with inquiries.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
