About The Position

The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the set-up, refresh, tear down and maintenance of all meeting and event spaces. Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort. Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag. Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and organized manner stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for meetings or food service functions. Breakdown after the completion of functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly. Transport and store tables, chairs, and other equipment. The ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. Comply with Silverado Resort Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations. The ability to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs. Ensure the correct and timely set up of all Banquet Event Order functions. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space, and storage areas to include the carpet, walls, walks, doors, windows, heating/air conditioning units, etc. Refresh meeting rooms as needed. Handle items for “Lost and Found” according to the standards. Ensure overall guest satisfaction. Abide by all resort policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Responsible Beverage Service Certification (required in compliance with California laws).
  • Food Handlers Certification (required in compliance with California laws).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Ability to perform general housekeeping work.
  • Ability to set up and break down equipment.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment with varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to operate a golf cart.
