About The Position

We are seeking a Banquet Houseperson to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Resort & Spa team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five Star resort. The Houseperson will supervise, train and ensure the performance of assigned Banquet personnel so that all procedures are completed to the hotel's standards. This role is expected to assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests. We have an On-Call position available. This role is a flexible position (AM / PM) and all candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights.

Requirements

Two years’ experience as Banquet Houseman.
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and proper chemical handling.
Knowledge of all styles of room set-ups, standard equipment involved and proper handling of such.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with guests, management and co-workers to ensure mutual understanding.
Ability to provide legible communication.
Ability to do basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

Supervise, train and ensure the performance of assigned Banquet personnel so that all procedures are completed to the hotel's standards.
Assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests.
Maintain hotel's standards, policies and procedures with assigned staff.
Prioritize and organize work assignments, delegate work.
Direct performance of assigned staff and follow up with corrections where needed.
Motivate assigned staff and maintain a cohesive team.
Ascertain staff training needs and provide such training.
Be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems, exercising good judgment.
Focus attention on details.
Endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties.
Exert physical effort in transporting and placement of tables, chairs, staging, dance floor, podiums and other banquet/meeting room equipment.
Ensure security of storage room access and hotel property.
Work without direct supervision.
