About The Position

The Hilton Bellevue is currently seeking a FULL-TIME Banquet Houseperson in our Banquet department. As a House Person, you will be responsible for setting rooms, moving tables, chairs, furniture, and other equipment, cleaning, vacuuming, and maintaining designated areas of the hotel, and responding to guest requests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age or older
• The ability to read English, and understand written instructions
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to frequently lift/push/pull/carry up to 60lbs with or without accommodation

Nice To Haves

• Previous Banquet and/or hotel experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Set up tables, chairs, staging, dance floor, other equipment according to the room diagram and event resumes.
• Assist with setting of banquet tables for a full service meal.
• Quickly clearing dirty banquet table settings.
• Safely deliver carts of dirty dishes/flatware/glasses to kitchen for washing.
• Tear down equipment and supplies after events are over.
• Maintain cleanliness in event spaces, including hallways and common area.
• Keep service corridors and storage areas clean, organized and unobstructed.
• Read and understand room diagrams and event resumes in order to set up event spaces.
• Interact with other staff and event planners and respond quickly to their needs / requests.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
