About The Position

The Banquet Houseman is responsible for setting up and breaking down event spaces according to Banquet Event Orders, ensuring guest needs are attended to, and maintaining the cleanliness of public spaces throughout events. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to handle unexpected situations smoothly, and a contribution vital to the event's success. Experience is not necessary.

Requirements

• Full mobility, continuous movement and heavy lifting, up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently (moving furniture, equipment, staging, etc.)
• Eye for detail
• Team player
• Willing to be flexible on hours as this role can coincide with the events of the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down event space, ensuring set up according to Banquet Event Order
• Assure Guest needs are attended to
• Attend to all public spaces throughout the event for consistent clean presentation
• Ensure supplies are available according to the Banquet Event Order and equipment is set up and functioning properly
• Keep track of event supplies, equipment and carefully store furnishings when not in use, promptly reporting repair and maintenance needs.
