Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a banquet or large-scale catering environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred

Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all banquet kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
Supervise and coordinate the preparation and execution of banquet events, ensuring timely and efficient service
Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Collaborate with event planners and catering teams to customize menus and accommodate special requests
Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to meet budgetary goals
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and company policies
Innovate and develop new banquet menu options to enhance guest satisfaction
Monitor kitchen operations during events to ensure smooth execution and address any issues promptly
