About The Position
The Cliffs Hotel & Spa is the premier oceanfront hotel on the Central Coast, offering beautiful ocean views of Pismo Beach and a team known for outstanding customer service. We are a locally owned business and proud supporter of our local Central Coast Community. We are seeking a gracious, thoughtful, and motivated part-time Banquet & Events Server who can create a sense of luxury while executing guest events. The Banquet & Events Server is to ensure guest satisfaction of all who attend banquet functions at the Cliffs Hotel and Spa, going above and beyond, as needed, to create a unique experience for our guests.
Requirements
- Customer Service Experience
- Energetic/Motivated/Reliable/Adaptable/Responsible/Efficient/Committed/Friendly
- Responsible Beverage Service Certified
Nice To Haves
- Food & Beverage Experience
- Excellent Command of English language
Responsibilities
- Set-up, break-down, clean-up all event functions (Tables, Chairs, Linen, AV, Umbrellas, Etc.)
- Serve & Bus all Event Food & Beverage (Buffets, Plated Meals, Tray Passed Food, Etc.)
- Demonstrate an attitude of friendly hospitality in every aspect of service
- Learn to read BEO's and prioritize tasks
- Follow Cliffs Standards of Excellence
- Communicates pleasantly and courteously with guests, management and co-workers
- Adjust to changing needs and priorities
- Comply fully and consistently with all the hotel conditions of employment and standards
