About The Position

The role involves preparing great dishes, assisting teammates, and providing exceptional service and care to guests. The cook will plan the day with the team, prep ingredients for reservations, a la carte, and banquet service, and maintain a clean and organized workstation. This role requires constant movement for food preparation, adherence to food sanitation regulations, and proper food storage. The cook must stay focused and energized, tidy up the station at every opportunity, and take pride in their work as a team player.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of culinary experience working in a high volume kitchen.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
  • Ability to remain standing for the duration of an 8 hour shift.
  • Understanding that SERVICE is the key to any successful business.
  • Must have Valid Food Safe certification.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare great dishes and assist teammates.
  • Check in with supervisor to prioritize duties.
  • Support cook 1 & 2 colleagues.
  • Review reservation sheets or banquet event orders for lunch and dinner.
  • Prep all ingredients for reservations, a la carte service, and banquet service.
  • Organize the workstation.
  • Follow the prep list and tick off completed items.
  • Perform tasks such as peeling, chopping, mixing, sautéing, and preparing sauces.
  • Maintain cleanliness and handle food properly according to food sanitation regulations.
  • Ensure all items are stored correctly, dated clearly for storage logs.
  • Focus on orders and keep workstation organized.
  • Tidy up the station, counter, and storage area at every opportunity.
  • Follow company policies such as cooking food to Chef’s standards.
  • Operate equipment properly.
  • Conduct frequent inspections of all food storage areas to prevent food spoilage and maximize food cost expenditures.
  • Maintain a calm and welcoming demeanor while multitasking.
  • Follow all company and brand standards.
