About The Position

Assist in the preparation and execution of high quality, creative menus for corporate events, private social events, Sunday brunch, and weddings. The Banquet Cook will greet each guest enthusiastically and with a smile to create a friendly positive experience. This role involves assisting with prepping and plating for larger events, weddings, brunch, and event live stations, as well as efficiently running smaller parties like sandwich, mixed grill lunches, or hors d'oeuvres events alone. The Banquet Cook will coordinate with banquet chefs on larger parties, set up the plating line for functions, and assist with plating duties. They will prepare various meats, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment. The position requires adherence to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Organizational skills
  • Positive interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Make customers feel important, valued and appreciated in a manner that will be acknowledged by the customers.
  • Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Maintains high standards for work area and appearance and presents self in highly professional manner to staff and guest.
  • Available to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
  • Maintains all current licenses and certifications.

Responsibilities
