The Banquet Chef leads the culinary execution of all private events, member celebrations, and banquet functions at Trump National Golf Club Washington D.C. From intimate dinners to large-scale galas, you will be responsible for producing exceptional cuisine that reflects the prestige of our club and exceeds the expectations of our discerning membership. Success in this role means flawless execution, a motivated kitchen team, and food that becomes the centerpiece of every event.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of culinary experience in a banquet, hotel, country club, or upscale hospitality environment.
  • Prior supervisory or lead cook experience required.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event calendar.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen with composure and precision.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and execute all banquet and event menus in coordination with the Executive Chef and F&B leadership.
  • Oversee banquet kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and daily supervision during events.
  • Collaborate with the events and catering team to understand member and guest requirements for each function.
  • Ensure all food is prepared, plated, and presented to the club's standards of quality and consistency.
  • Manage food costs, minimize waste, and maintain accurate inventory for banquet operations.
  • Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and health code standards at all times.
