Requirements

  • Experienced in banquet, restaurant, or hospitality service
  • Strong leaders with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Guest-focused with a commitment to service excellence
  • Able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Must obtain and maintain all required food handling or alcohol service certifications as required by state and local regulations
  • Must maintain all required certifications in accordance with company guidelines
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds of banquet equipment and supplies
  • Perform repetitive motions including bending, reaching, twisting, and kneeling
  • Assist with room setup, table placement, and event breakdown
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Maintain professionalism and focus during large-scale events and busy service periods

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of banquet, food and beverage, or hospitality experience
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience working weddings, conferences, meetings, and special events
  • Knowledge of banquet service standards and event operations

Responsibilities

  • Lead banquet team members during meetings, weddings, social events, and catered functions
  • Coordinate event setup, service, and breakdown according to event specifications
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for banquet staff during events
  • Ensure all banquet service standards are followed and guest expectations are exceeded
  • Assign duties and provide direction to banquet servers and support staff
  • Assist with training and mentoring banquet team members
  • Communicate effectively with culinary teams, event coordinators, and management
  • Monitor event progress and address service issues promptly
  • Ensure banquet areas remain clean, organized, and properly stocked
  • Support a positive team environment and exceptional guest experience
