Requirements

  • The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) which can also involve bending and kneeling
  • A good grasp of reading, writing and basic math
  • The flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Compliance with local laws on food handling and serving alcohol – you’ll need to be above the minimum age required and fluent in the local language
  • Great communication – you’ll be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to

Responsibilities

  • Set up the bar area according to event specifications, including arranging bottles, glassware, ice, and other necessary supplies.
  • Ensure the bar is clean, organized, and well-stocked before, during, and after events.
  • Prepare garnishes, mixes, and other drink ingredients.
  • Transport bar equipment and supplies to and from event locations.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently, following standard recipes and portion control guidelines.
  • Provide friendly and professional service to guests, addressing their needs and requests promptly.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible alcohol service.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of bar supplies and report any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Restock bar supplies as needed during events.
  • Properly store and handle alcoholic beverages.
  • Break down the bar area after events, cleaning all surfaces, glassware, and equipment.
  • Return bar equipment and supplies to designated storage areas.
  • Dispose of trash and recycling properly.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Adhere to all local and state liquor laws and regulations, including verifying legal drinking age.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding alcohol service.
