About The Position

Geronimo Hospitality Group is seeking a Banquet Bartender for Hotel Renegade. This is a part-time role where you will be responsible for effectively preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for banquet guests. You will interact with guests and assess their needs and the needs of the associate banquet team. We are a collection of award-winning boutique hotels, restaurants, and clubs looking for individuals who believe THE STATUS QUO SUCKS and are ready to join a team that pushes boundaries and values hard work.

Requirements

  • Previous bar service required; banquet experience preferred.
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
  • Refined verbal and written communication
  • Be able to keep up with a fast-paced environment
  • Be able to carry tray to shoulder weighing up to 30 lbs without assistance
  • Stand and/or walk entire shift
  • Must be available nights and weekends
  • Must hold valid Operators License
  • U.S. Work Authorization (required).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with banquet room(s) set up/tear down; setting and clearing of tables before, during and at the end of service
  • Understand how to read a Banquet Event Order and execute service according to time and specifics listed within the event order as well as within the contract
  • Prepare and stock bar station with product according to specs on BEO prior to event start
  • Serve beverage and/or food throughout the event
  • Respond promptly to any guest request
  • Must understand POS and have the ability to count change back to guests paying cash
  • Must be able to reconcile cash drawer at the end of shift
  • Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude and mannerism
  • Maintain clear and open communication between all staff for overall event success
  • Always maintain clean work areas; remove debris and trash as needed to ensure guest satisfaction
  • At conclusion of event, assist banquet associates with tear down and cleaning of space
  • At conclusion of event, remove all inventory and deliver to specified location for safe keeping
  • At conclusion of event, clean work area and locate bar(s) to specified area for next event or proper storage
  • Work areas must be cleaned; furniture, equipment and inventory stored accordingly
  • Closing checklist must be approved by manager prior to shift end
  • Respect all of your co-workers and managers
  • Have fun at work; leave baggage at the door; come to work with a positive attitude ready and willing to help create a fun and memorable experience for our guests
