About The Position

At Battle House Hotel and Spa, the Banquet Bartender delivers exceptional customer service and prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The role focuses on creating a welcoming, enjoyable bar experience, assessing guest preferences, and providing recommendations for food and drinks. The bartender supports smooth bar operations by maintaining inventory, supplies, cleanliness, and compliance with alcohol-service regulations.

Responsibilities

Create a positive first impression by welcoming guests warmly and addressing them by name whenever possible.
Prepare a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages using accurate recipes and proper presentation.
Serve wine, draught or bottled beer, and other beverages responsibly, and check identification to verify guests meet the legal drinking age.
Maintain organized bar inventory and adequate supplies; handle orders and requisitions for liquor and supplies.
Engage with guests professionally, take orders, and serve drinks and snacks promptly.
Assess guest preferences and recommend food and drinks; promote daily specials and other offerings.
Follow food and beverage regulations, responsible alcohol-service practices, and safety guidelines.
Participate in daily stand-up meetings to stay informed about specials, promotions, and updates.
Prepare attractive drink garnishes.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene by wiping surfaces nightly, cleaning floors regularly, and taking out trash as needed.
Assist with monthly inventory counts and report discrepancies.
Report gratuities accurately according to company guidelines and federal law.
Comply with Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) board requirements, training, and restrictions.
