About The Position

Provide an excellent guest drinking experience by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. Ability to understand and communicate food and beverage selections, have a team focus mentality, adhere to club’s standards of service, maintain a professional appearance and clean work environment, as well as, display a positive and friendly attitude. Responsible for using Workday to communicate with management about time off requests & working availability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous bartending experience in high volume restaurant/club; formal service preferred.
  • Excellent oral communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and be coachable.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
  • Local Pouring Permit & Alcohol certification
  • Ability to speak and hear.
  • Close and distance vision.
  • Identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent walking with some standing at times.
  • Will walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances.
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs.
  • Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
  • Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge members/guests and meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Have an acute awareness of all table flow and timing throughout one's shift.
  • Foresee and troubleshoot problems before they occur.
  • To efficiently serve food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • To follow the service sequence and standards of the club, according to the training manual.
  • To take food and beverage orders and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing the content of the orders with co-workers; taking to-go orders via phone when needed.
  • Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available, par levels have been met, and alert management of any maintenance needed; complete any bar pulls as needed.
  • Follow set-up procedures and requirements for handling storage and dispensing beverages according to club standards and department of health; maintaining and cleaning bar equipment.
  • Mix, prepare and serve drinks according to the recipes approved by the Food and Beverage Management Team; prepare garnishes and mixes as well.
  • Enter and close all checks in the computer system following appropriate procedures.
  • Communicate with FOH Managers regarding supplies, cleaning and service.
  • Attends pre-service training (line-up meeting).
  • Adherence to Club’s uniform and grooming policy.
  • Knowledge of, respect for and adherence to all staff privileges and responsibilities.
  • Performs other appropriate duties as assigned by manager on duty.
