About The Position

Join an innovative team as a Banner Developer in New Haven, CT (remote flexibility available), supporting a new strategic initiative and ensuring compliance with evolving federal requirements. As a senior-level contributor, you will play a pivotal role in transitioning core applications from Banner Self-Service to Ethos, leveraging your expertise to enhance and future-proof mission-critical systems. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team of developers, BAs, and consultants in a highly supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience with Banner core processes and architecture.
• Proficient in Pro C within Banner environments.
• Demonstrated expertise working with Ethos for application integration.
• Strong background in PL/SQL and Grails for custom app development.
• Exceptional soft skills: adept at navigating difficult conversations, providing constructive feedback, and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
• Senior-level self-starter, comfortable working independently and taking ownership of complex deliverables.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Banner Self Service and Page Builder.
• Familiarity with Evisions Form Fusion and Ellucian’s intelligent processes.
• Prior involvement in custom Evisions projects or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Drive the transition of Banner Self-Service applications to Ethos, leading development and integration efforts.
• Design, implement, and maintain modifications within Banner using Pro C and PL/SQL.
• Utilize Grails to develop and support custom applications that efficiently pull and process data.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and close technical gaps, especially around Ethos integration.
• Engage directly with clients, guiding discussions, managing expectations, and providing consultative feedback to shape project outcomes.
• Ensure alignment with new federal compliance requirements through proactive solutioning.
• Demonstrate initiative by independently managing deliverables and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
