Oversees the handling of bankruptcy processes on assigned loans within the guidelines of FHA, VA, PMI, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, private investors, and federal and state laws. This role involves monitoring bankruptcy files to protect the organization and client's interest on loans impaired by bankruptcy filing, ensuring all activities are handled within departmental and regulatory guidelines and timeframes. The representative will also ensure proof of claim is filed correctly and an acceptable plan is entered and approved, process cash, pay attorney and vendor invoices, and research and respond to debtor and investor inquiries. Additional duties include processing files when a bankruptcy has been reinstated, monitoring and reporting on the performance of outsourcing firms, coordinating with outsourcing firms to ensure necessary information is received, and monitoring and maintaining bankruptcy reports for compliance. The role also requires keeping bankruptcy screens updated accurately and timely, and successfully completing annual regulatory compliance training. Specific duties may include answering inbound bankruptcy calls, processing phone payments, providing contact information, and transferring calls as needed. For setup, responsibilities include reviewing bankruptcy notifications, setting up workstations, uploading documents, emailing firms and internal contacts, reviewing dockets, and performing data entry. For bill back, tasks involve filing GSE claims, confirming fee movements, and preparing and completing specific forms.
