About The Position

We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced U.S. bankruptcy attorneys with strong expertise in bankruptcy law, legal document analysis, motions, pleadings, court filings, and complex legal reasoning to contribute to advanced AI training and evaluation initiatives. Selected attorneys will analyse bankruptcy-related legal materials, develop realistic legal examples, evaluate AI-generated responses, and provide detailed expert feedback grounded in current U.S. bankruptcy law. No prior AI experience is required; hands-on bankruptcy practice is the primary qualification.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
  • Active licence to practise law in the United States
  • 3–10+ years of recent hands-on bankruptcy-law experience
  • Direct experience handling bankruptcy matters independently
  • Experience preparing motions, pleadings, and court filings
  • Familiarity with bankruptcy court procedures
  • Experience appearing in court on bankruptcy matters
  • Background providing bankruptcy-related advisory work
  • Strong legal-document analysis skills
  • Excellent legal drafting and written communication abilities
  • Ability to explain complex bankruptcy concepts clearly and concisely
  • Strong verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Judicial clerkship experience, particularly with a bankruptcy or federal judge, is highly valued
  • Experience teaching law or developing legal instructional materials is advantageous
  • Law journal or law review editorial experience is advantageous
  • No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse bankruptcy-related legal documents
  • Annotate materials with substantive legal commentary
  • Identify legal issues, inconsistencies, and procedural concerns
  • Assess documents against current U.S. bankruptcy law
  • Apply practical bankruptcy experience to complex materials
  • Draft sample motions, pleadings, and court filings
  • Develop materials reflecting common bankruptcy proceedings
  • Create examples involving more complex bankruptcy scenarios
  • Apply appropriate legal structure and professional drafting standards
  • Explain drafting choices and underlying legal reasoning
  • Analyse hypothetical bankruptcy-law scenarios
  • Develop well-reasoned legal explanations and arguments
  • Evaluate competing legal positions where appropriate
  • Apply professional judgement to ambiguous or fact-sensitive matters
  • Identify relevant procedural and substantive considerations
  • Assess AI-generated bankruptcy-law responses for accuracy
  • Evaluate outputs for clarity and analytical quality
  • Identify incorrect legal conclusions or incomplete reasoning
  • Review alignment with current U.S. bankruptcy law
  • Provide detailed feedback to improve model performance
  • Contribute to bankruptcy-focused training datasets and educational materials
  • Identify important nuances and emerging developments in bankruptcy practice
  • Help refine evaluation criteria and legal-quality standards
  • Communicate findings clearly through written and verbal channels
