Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Cash handling experience required
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Continually meet customer and prospect needs by promoting bank products and services and making referrals.
  • Build and maintain exceptional customer relationships in the branch, on the phone, and by attending various events, as appropriate.
  • Actively participate in training, staff meetings, and other motivational activities.
  • Actively participate in the proactive selling process within the bank, utilizing the marketing resources and other various tools and reports.
  • Establish good relationships with other departments to ensure efficient and effective referrals are made.
  • Meets Quality Service Standards when working with customers on the phone or in person.
  • Handles all transactions in accordance with banking regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Follows security procedures according to bank guidelines.
  • Complies with all regulations as appropriate for the job function.
  • Ability to close consumer loans, HELOC, and lines of credit.
  • Performs Customer Representative and Personal Banker duties, as needed, in addition to performing consumer lending duties.
  • Maintains knowledge and seeks ongoing education of First National products, services and lines of business.
  • Expert regarding online banking, bill pay, and mobile baking services.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify opportunities to cross-sell new and existing services.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds established referral goals as set by management.
  • Projects a positive image of the bank and exhibit professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Exceptional judgment and ability to foresee problems. Excellent performance in new and stressful situations.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of duties, extremely motivated, completes established goals and takes responsibility for additional projects, produces more work than required; does not require assistance prioritizing.
  • Consistently follows information security guidelines, electronically and otherwise, in or order to limit risk to the bank.
