About The Position

Fulfills and assists with management of requests for filing and retrieving loan folders and documents for Commercial, Consumer and Residential Mortgage loans. This role involves processing imaged document retrieval requests, scanning and imaging documents, packaging and sending loan folders, and managing the boxing, shipping, retrieval, and tracking of documents to and from storage warehouses. The position also requires contacting prior servicers for loan documentation, providing operational and project support, and receiving/processing incoming and outgoing loan folders accurately and in a timely manner. Additionally, the role includes assisting with procedure writing, transporting loan folders between onsite business partners, tracking documents electronically and manually, completing complex file room duties, assisting with loan acquisitions and transfers, and adhering to company standards for confidentiality, risk, and regulatory compliance. The associate will identify risk-related issues for escalation, promote an inclusive environment, and maintain internal control standards.

Requirements

  • Associates’ degree or a minimum of 2 years’ work experience

Responsibilities

  • Process imaged document retrieval requests for business partners and external customers utilizing Bank and vendor owned repository systems.
  • Scan and image documents.
  • Package and send loan folders and/or documents via external postal delivery.
  • Box, ship, retrieve and track folders and/or documents to and from storage warehouse.
  • Contact prior servicers or sellers for loan documentation, on an as needed basis.
  • Provide operational and project support to department Group Leaders.
  • Receive and process incoming and outgoing loan folders, and/or documents in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with procedure writing.
  • Transport requested loan folders and/or documents to and from onsite business partners.
  • Track and query incoming and outgoing loan folders and/or documents via electronic and/or manual means.
  • Complete complex file room duties as assigned.
  • Assist with coordination for loan acquisitions and transfers.
  • Adhere to the Company’s standards for confidentiality.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
  • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.
