About The Position

Under direct supervision, this role focuses on the execution of basic processing work following defined procedures. The Specialist is responsible for routine operational and administrative work within various banking areas such as credit cards, retail banking, and consumer lending, escalating any issues as they arise.

Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience with working knowledge of business or general office skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
• Works well with others in a team environment
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Proficient in 10-Key, able to perform with a high degree of speed and accuracy
• Proven ability to handle high transaction volumes accurately and meet production goals
• Proven effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and applications
• Basic knowledge of banking policies, procedures, and government regulations
• Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Administer defined procedures for filing, recording, processing, and servicing of documentation
• Open mail and extract paper invoices and checks
• Properly sort non-payment documents for processing
• Accurately batch work and communicate issues to the Workflow Coordinator or Supervisor
• Assist in reviewing or ensuring proper documentation and procedures are used for basic activities
• Perform routine tasks as assigned by the manager
• Provide service for routine billing inquiries, service requests, and customer suggestions
• Cross-train in other functional areas such as mail sort, keying, reassociation, and data entry
